Benevolence & compassion is a theme woven throughout Scripture. James encourages us to visit orphans & widows in their distress (1:27). Paul instructs us to do good to all people while we have opportunity (Gal 6:10), and the writer of Hebrews reminds us to show hospitality to strangers (13:2). As we emulate the nature of God, it is ingrained in us as Christians to show kindness, perform acts of charity and do good to others. The Benevolence Ministry has been established by the Shepherds of the Bentonville Church of Christ to help our fellow members & individuals within our community. The Benevolence Ministry is comprised of a small number of members who treat requests for assistance with the utmost confidentiality as we review ways our congregation can offer financial, spiritual, and / or physical assistance. Visit our Benevolence page to learn if you or or someone you know could benefit from this ministry.
